You will partner closely with Development, Product, and Operations to improve reliability, velocity, and customer experience at scale.
What You’ll Bring:
A passion for problem solving and understanding how complex systems work end‑to‑end
A strong CI/CD and automation mindset, with low tolerance for manual or repetitive work
The ability to lead teams through change, scale, and continuous improvement
Experience building strong partnerships across engineering, operations, and product
Role & Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management:
Lead, coach, and mentor the SRE team across multiple geographies and time zones

Lead Mastercard’s DevOps transformation through tooling, standards, and advocacy across development, quality, release, and product organizations
CI/CD & Automation
Own and evolve the application CI/CD pipeline, enabling high‑quality, low‑friction promotion of software across environments
Design and implement CI/CD flows that move code from development to production with minimal manual effort
Champion automation to reduce toil, increase velocity, and improve system resilience
Lead adoption of industry‑standard DevOps tools and best practices
Operational Excellence
Ensure systems are production‑ready through launch reviews, capacity planning, and design consulting
Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall health
Analyze ITSM signals and incidents, providing actionable feedback to development teams on operational gaps and resilience concerns
Lead sustainable incident response practices, including blameless postmortems and root‑cause analysis
Take a holistic view of production events, connecting signals across the full technology stack to optimize mean time to recover (MTTR)
Risk, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
Proactively manage production risk, change activities, and compliance obligations across environments
Streamline and standardize operational processes, centralizing points of interaction for partners
Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, balancing customer, product, and operational priorities
Core Responsibilities:
Improve the full service lifecycle—from design and deployment through operation and refinement
Shift left by embedding operational readiness and reliability into the development process
Maximize customer experience by proactively managing production and change activities
Provide feedback loops to engineering partners based on real production insights
Qualifications Required:

Proven people‑management experience with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams
Excellent communication skills, strong sense of ownership, and bias for action
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine operational tasks
Comfort operating in high‑pressure environments and making decisions with urgency
