Job Description:

This role is Head of Sales for the Pet Nutrition business in India and will be a critical feeder role to India General Manager.

Job purpose:

Build Business Strategy to maximize sales through the channel and in-store execution

Build Route to Market model to optimize reach and cost structure in General/Traditional Trade, Modern Trade & Digital Commerce

Lead the team to build solid Customer relationships – omnichannel, Category management and Category leadership with key customers

Accountable for ensuring compliance of org guidelines.

Grooming Talent and building leadership pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Business Performance to Optimize Value Creation:

• Create value by driving performance and delivery of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Drive results by focusing on our customers and consumers with dynamic resource allocation against your portfolio and channel priorities, focus on ROI (return on investment) and optimized costs.

• Set high standards and hold individuals and teams to account for their performance

• Peer relationship building, collaboration and influencing to both optimize resource allocation and get the unit’s voice heard as strategies evolve

• Ensure operations and processes enable smart, efficient, and responsive working.

• Agile working that enables Associates to deliver today and prepare for future customer and consumer needs in both our traditional as well as Digital Commerce and other emerging channels.

• Unlock Customer and Consumer Opportunities that deliver Quality Growth

• Uncover insights and build customer and consumer partnerships that unlock opportunities to deploy your strategies with excellence

• Deep understanding and hands on experience of the local customer and consumer landscape.

Drive Execution Excellence:

• Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's Demand /Sales goals.

• Drive Volume & Value growth with increased distribution.

• Strengthen Route to Market and grow the category.

• Specialty Trade (Pet Shops / Clinique’s), 2X Emerging Channels Like DCOM.

• Distribution expansion in traditional trade – Increased Coverage & effectiveness

• Identifying the key strategic challenges to generate leads and develop the engagement of our key accounts

• Land and expand build process and funnel for manual top-down reach out, on-boarding, activation, and expansion

• Review Teams & Plans with Rigour

• Drive Digital tools & enable digital activation in Sales.

Cocreate & collaborate with India Leadership Team:

• Channel Plans & Category insights with Strategic Demand Head and Marketing Director

• Drive Expansion Strategy in line with the Forecast Plans with Supply

• Establish and foster mutual partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally

• Build High Performing Teams – Build a Sales Leadership Pipeline of Future

• Coaching Next Gen Talent resulting in leadership pipeline conversion
