POSITION SUMMARY:
Marathon Petroleum Company, LP has an immediate opening for an ES&S Administrative Assistant at its Galveston Bay Refinery. This Administrative Assistant role serves as the main source of administrative support for the Environmental, Safety, and Security department. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as the Administrative Assistant for the ES&S department, as well as supports various client groups, completing a variety of administrative tasks to assure the efficient operation of the office on a day-to-day basis in a professional and confidential manner.

Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation of the ES&S Department, in accordance with MPC’s record retention standards. Reviews documents and saves them in the document management system.

Schedules meetings, organizes events, and arranges catering when necessary.

Prepares copies, collates, binds, and distributes reports and presentations as needed.

Owns and manages the schedule for the ES&S Director.

Tracks vacation and sick time for the department as directed.

Oversees administrative responsibilities for onboarding new employees in the ES&S Department.

Maintains office materials and supplies.

Runs reports and gathers data as needed for the ES&S Director and other department leads that he or she supports.

Maintains the Share Point sites for ES&S.

Enters requisitions/reservations/off-site purchase orders.

Coordinates access for visitors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum (Required Qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalent is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)

Minimum 2 years of clerical/administrative support experience is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- A 2-year completed Associate’s degree is preferred.
