About the role

About the role

We are looking for a Regional LCL Ocean Network Design Manager to shape, expand, and optimize Maersk’s Less than Container Load (LCL) network in Europe. This role plays a critical part in driving profitable growth by designing scalable LCL consolidation and gateway models, trade lane growth, improving container utilization, and expanding global service coverage in close collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.

You will act as the network architect for Europe’s LCL product, combining commercial, operational, and analytical perspectives to strengthen Maersk’s LCL value proposition for customers.

Key responsibilities

LCL network & consolidation lane development:

  • Expand and optimize Maersk’s own LCL consolidation lane network to support volume growth and customer value.

  • Define and execute a roadmap for trade lane development, aligned with regional go‑to‑market plans.

  • Drive volume growth and market share on focused trade lanes.

  • Develop and maintain an LCL consolidation playbook (what, how, where, who, and why).

  • Collaborate closely with the Technology teams.

Gateway model & global coverage:

  • Design, standardize, and govern the LCL gateway model to expand global service coverage.

  • Ensure scalability and efficiency of gateway processes.

  • Align closely with regional and area LCL teams to support a connected global network.

Yield, utilization & financial optimization:

  • Maximize container utilization through dynamic route management and routing options.

  • Develop end‑to‑end revenue, cost, GP, and volume visibility at trade‑lane level.

  • Contribute to digital pricing and analytical tool development (including exploration of AI‑enabled solutions).

What we’re looking for

Experience & knowledge:

  • Experience with LCL products, network design, or consolidation models.

  • Solid understanding of global supply chain and logistics networks.

  • Experience working with trade lane optimization, routing, or yield management.

  • Exposure to large, international, matrix organizations.

  • Need BI dashboard creation knowledge.

Skills & competencies:

  • Strong data-driven mindset and analytics capabilities.

  • Work confidently with large data sets, models, and performance analysis.

  • Comfortable working with dashboards, digital tools, and analytical platforms to track volume, yield, utilization, and profitability.

  • Customer‑centric and commercially minded.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.

  • Results‑oriented mindset with confidence in driving growth.

Why join Maersk?

You will play a key role in shaping the future of Maersk’s LCL network in Europe, working at the intersection of product, network design, and commercial strategy. This role offers broad exposure across regions and functions, real ownership of network decisions, and the opportunity to influence how LCL evolves as a core growth product.
