Site Finance Controller at Maersk

At Maersk, we are transforming logistics by connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chains - and finance plays a critical role in that journey. We are now looking for a Site Finance Controller to join our Maersk Contract Logistics (MCL) Nordics Team.

As Site Finance Controller - MCL Nordics, you will take ownership of financial performance and reporting across our Contract Logistics operations in the Nordic region. Acting as a key partner to both operations and finance, you will ensure transparency, accuracy, and insight at site level - translating operational activity into clear financial outcomes.

This is a high-impact, regional role where you will work closely with site leaders, product teams, and Finance Business Partners to drive performance, profitability, and continuous improvement. You will report directly to the Area Head of MCL Nordics and the role can be based either in Fredericia, Denmark or Gothenburg, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will combine strong financial expertise with operational understanding:

• Own financial reporting at Gross Profit (GP) and EBIT level, ensuring accuracy and transparency
• Lead month-end processes, including reporting, review, and required adjustments
• Translate operational performance into financial insights to support decision-making
• Partner with site leadership and Finance Business Partners to ensure correct cost and revenue recognition
• Provide profitability transparency across customers, products, and sites
• Analyse margins, trends, and productivity to identify risks and opportunities
• Drive compliance and governance through internal audits and adherence to best practices
• Deliver forward-looking analysis to support planning and performance improvements

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an analytical and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys working across teams and geographies.

You bring:

• 2+ years of experience in a financial reporting or controlling role
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience with data analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Solid understanding of financial processes and performance management
• The ability to communicate clearly and engage stakeholders across functions
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience within Contract Logistics or warehouse operations
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Business Warehouse, or Business Intelligence tools
• A relevant financial qualification
