Role Purpose
The Security Business Partner serves as the key connection between Security, terminal operations, and business continuity. The role ensures that security considerations and business-critical dependencies are fully understood, prioritized, and managed to protect operational stability, people, assets, and reputation.
Rather than focusing on day‑to‑day execution, this role emphasizes anticipation, collaboration, independent challenge, and strategic decision support. The Security Business Partner helps leaders navigate both normal and disrupted operations with confidence and clarity.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Business Partnering
- Partner closely with terminal leadership to integrate security and resilience considerations into operational planning and performance discussions
- Translate the terminal’s security and resilience strategy into actionable priorities aligned with business goals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, supporting risk‑based decision-making in both steady-state and disruption scenarios
Security Risk & Threat Management
- Identify and challenge critical business processes, dependencies, and assumptions across operations, IT, OT, people, vendors, and external interfaces
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews to surface single points of failure and validate recovery and fallback capabilities
- Convert technical security risks into clear business impact scenarios to inform leadership decisions
Disruption, Crisis & Decision Readiness
- Support the assessment and management of security risks across physical security, access control, insider risks, cyber threats, and external threats
- Embed security and resilience considerations into operational risk assessments, change processes, and interface management
- Act as a business-side challenger to IT and OT teams on cybersecurity, system resilience, and recovery assumptions
- Monitor threat intelligence, trends, and incident patterns to anticipate emerging risks and advise on preventive measures
What We’re Looking For
- Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day
- Master's degree +5 years of experience in security, risk management, information security, or resilience within ports, logistics, critical infrastructure, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301/22300, and the ISPS Code
- Proven experience in risk assessment, threat analysis, and incident or disruption management
- Confident influencing skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in Arabic, English, and French
Preferred:
experience in business continuity, crisis management, IT/OT environments, or cyber‑physical risk
Key Competencies
- Business and systems thinking
- Independent judgment and constructive challenge
- Calm authority under pressure or ambiguity
- Ability to bridge Operations, IT, and Security
- Strategic curiosity and a resilience mindset
