About the role

AWS Cloud Architect will primarily act as a Delivery Lead for the RUN team while also serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS, focusing on leading the ongoing delivery organization, coordinating day-to-day operational activities, and ensuring stable and efficient service delivery across AWS environments.

The role includes overseeing the operation of AWS-based platforms, driving incident and problem resolution, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to security, performance, and operational best practices. The candidate will work closely with delivery teams to maintain service quality, optimize processes, and provide technical guidance where needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating RUN activities, supporting infrastructure automation, assisting with network configuration and connectivity, and enabling containerized workloads where required. The role also requires availability for urgent operational support, including the possibility of being contacted during off-hours in case of critical incidents.

Daily challenges

• Monitor service health, incidents, and alerts across AWS environments and coordinate resolution.

• Lead and coordinate daily RUN activities, aligning priorities across delivery teams.

• Support incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and follow-ups.

• Review and approve infrastructure changes (Terraform, deployments, configs).

• Provide hands-on support for complex operational issues in AWS, networking, and containers.

• Ensure adherence to operational, security, and performance standards.

• Communicate status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and maintain operational reporting.

e Xperience and skills required

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments.

• Proven experience in Delivery Lead / Service Delivery / RUN operations roles.

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, routing, firewalls, connectivity).

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong troubleshooting and incident/problem management skills.

• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps) are highly desirable.
