Systems Engineer Senior - Level 3
Description:
- You will be the Electronics Engineer Senior
- Level 3 for the AMMM Communication, Navigation and Sensors team which is responsible for developing and sustaining avionic systems on AMMM aircraft platforms.
What You Will Be Doing
- As the Electronics Engineer Senior
- Level 3 you will be responsible for leading technical projects that span research, design, testing, and production of communication, navigation, radar, defensive, and sensor systems.
Your responsibilities will include:

Define system and equipment requirements from customer specifications and translate them into statements of work.

Develop and execute test plans at both equipment and aircraft levels, delivering problem‑solving and work‑around solutions.

Prepare technical proposals, effort estimates, and basis‑of‑estimate documentation for new and sustainment projects.

Coordinate with senior leadership, suppliers, and customers to ensure schedule and budget alignment.

Perform priority and complexity assessments to assign tasks and resolve technical issues efficiently.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent STEM degree

Systems Design experience
-
System Integration and Test Experience
Desired Skills: -
Experience with Communication, Navigation and Identification subsystems

Supplier Management experience
-
System Integration, test and troubleshooting
-
Aircraft Development experience
-
Tactical Collision Avoidance Systems Experience
-
Expertise in integrating complex IFF transponder with other avionics and platforms.
-
Experience with laboratory and on-aircraft testing, including performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and post-test data correlation.
-
Proficiency with RF principles and experience with IFF systems and other RF technologies.
-
Experience with military-specific standards such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and other military protocols.
-
Direct experience or familiarity with the Department of Defense (DOD) AIMS certification process for IFF systems on military platforms.
-
Knowledge of procedures for securing spectrum approval from agencies such as the FAA and the Army Spectrum Management Office (ASMO).
-
Ability to develop and document technical requirements and specifications for AIMS-compliant systems

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
