THE WORK
As the Deputy Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing all aspects of manufacturing operations at our West Palm Beach facility. Your responsibilities will include overseeing site operations, driving process improvements, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate daily requirements, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or a related discipline.
-
Minimum 10 years of progressive operations management or project management.
-
Leadership Ability: proven capability to lead cross functional teams, mentor talent, and cost reduction initiatives.

Travel: as required to support the needs of the program.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills: -
SAP experience
-
Earned Value and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience
-
Aerospace & Defense Industry experience (preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Black Belt or Green Belt (preferred)

The candidate should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.

Strong understanding of Collective Bargaining and leading a represented workforce

Proven track record of interpersonal skills focused on team building

Excellent analytical skills / thinking

Excellent presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
