As a Co-op within our Catastrophe R&D group, you'll be working closely with senior scientists and engineers on various projects helping with tasks to; Perform data mining and in-depth reviews of research literature, data, and models.

Collect, analyze and visualize data, using geospatial, statistical as well as other analytical methods.

Develop and maintain interactive maps and spatial databases for natural disaster risk assessment (floods, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, etc.).

You are an undergraduate or graduate student in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering working towards a degree with a strong academic record and a cumulative 3.0 GPA preferred.

You have course work or experience in geospatial analytics and working with GIS applications (e.g., Arc Map, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS).

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

You have course work or experience in programming languages (Python or R).

You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • You must be available to work full-time from July
  • December 2026.

You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
