Responsibilities:
-
Provide hands on technical leadership and support for engineering activities. Partner with Analysts, Scrum Masters, Architects, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver work effectively.
-
Contribute to shared initiatives that strengthen standards, processes, and engineering consistency across teams.
-
Foster innovation, encourage new ideas, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
-
Promote effective practices in delivery, observability, and reliability.
-
Support documentation and knowledge sharing to help teams build long term capability.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
-
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while leading others through problem solving.
-
Proficiency in .NET Core and React.
-
Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, performance optimisation, stored procedures, and advanced troubleshooting.
-
Experience in application design, rootcause analysis, and development of shared or reusable components.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Experience using AIassisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
-
Ability to work well with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
-
Understanding of security engineering principles and their application.

Experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Familiarity with continuous integration tooling such as Team City and Docker.

Experience with data integration and streaming platforms such as Stream Sets.

Experience working with cloud data platforms / data warehouses such as Snowflake.

Exposure to other database technologies such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical / IT field.
-
8+ years of Software Engineering experience including 2+ years in senior or mentorship role.

Experience working in a developer enablement or platform engineering role.
