Do Work That Matters

Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life. Our 2000 local experts, backed by our global experience and network of partners, are working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in government, intelligence, defence, aviation, border protection and health markets.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is responsible for the operational delivery, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the Defence Health Knowledge Management capability.

Reporting to the CTO Health, the role ensures Defence Health knowledge systems and services are reliable, secure, and aligned with Defence Health strategic, clinical, and operational objectives. Operating within a complex, multi-vendor Defence ICT environment, the SDM enables effective management, dissemination, and use of health knowledge to support clinical decision-making and health service delivery across the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end service delivery for the Defence Health Knowledge Management capability, ensuring availability, performance, usability, and alignment to operational requirements and tempo.

  • Lead ITIL-aligned service management (incident, problem, change, release) while maintaining service readiness, information assurance, and authoritative documentation.

  • Coordinate and manage multiple Defence-approved vendors, monitoring performance against SLAs/KPIs and leading service integration and issue escalation.

  • Support and evolve the Defence Health Knowledge capability, ensuring accuracy, currency, accessibility, governance, and alignment with clinical and strategic priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with Defence ICT governance, security and assurance requirements, manage risks and continuity, and provide reporting and engagement with senior stakeholders.

About You and What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience supporting a health capability, such as knowledge management, information management, or clinical decision-support systems.

  • Experience supporting Federal Government, State Government or private health capabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience in digital health enablement, including the delivery or support of digital health initiatives that enhance clinical decision-making, health workforce capability, information access, or health service outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Service Delivery Manager supporting enterprise-scale or mission-critical ICT systems, ideally within health-related capabilities (e.g. knowledge or clinical systems).

  • Proven ability to operate in complex multi-vendor environments, with strong knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices.

  • Experience working in secure, regulated, or operational environments with well-developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with government or Defence ICT environments, including governance, assurance processes, and systems requiring formal security accreditation.

  • Experience with knowledge management or content platforms, with highly desirable exposure to digital health enablement and initiatives improving clinical decision-making and outcomes.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV-1 level security clearance.
