Job Title: Senior Proposal Specialist Job Location: 1130 Morrison Dr., Ottawa, ONJob Schedule: Day Shift Salary Range: 85 000$ - 135 000$About your next Challenge as a Senior Proposal Specialist:What will you do:

• Analyze customer requirements and propose a high-level solution;
• Define statement of work for internal department estimation;
• Prepare technical proposals;
• Ensure compliance to customer requirements;
• Estimate implementation material costs;
• Prepare specifications for potential subcontractors;
• Manage technical and cost inputs from subcontractors and internal departments;
• Present solution and costs to senior management or customer, and guide the proposals through the Gate process;
• Provide technical support to Marketing;
• Provide technical marketing support in the field (demonstrations, presentations) with prospective customers and at industry conferences/events.
  Support Systems Engineering in the design and implementation of Communications Systems, including filling in where required / best fit during lulls in proposal activity

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering;
• Minimum 6 years of Bid & Proposal experience (or equivalent), either leading or supporting the Proposal team. Experience with naval communication systems is preferable;
• Able to communicate with all levels of management;
• Excellent English writing and presentation skills. The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
• Proposals will commonly include internal communication systems and networking, external communication systems (e.g. satcom, radios), and associated software. The candidate should have experience in these domains, even if not an expert in all of them.
• The candidate is familiar with medium to large RFPs, common contractual documents, compliance matrices, and the like;
• Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines;
• Strong interpersonal skills and works well in as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada **“Reliability”**status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
