As EHS & Facilities Manager for the Nordic region, your mission is to strategically lead Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Workplace Experience across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. You will shape and execute the Nordic EHS and Facilities agenda in alignment with L’Oréal’s global ambitions, driving operational excellence while fostering a strong safety culture, sustainable performance, and inspiring workplaces. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will own governance, risk management, portfolio strategy, and financial performance, transforming the Nordic workplace ecosystem into a safe, resilient, and high-performing platform for business growth. The role reports to the Nordic Operations Director.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Define Strategic Direction: Develop and execute the Nordic EHS & Facilities roadmap, aligning with Group strategy, sustainability commitments, and our Future of Work models while ensuring full legal and Group compliance.
- Lead Real Estate & Workplace Experience: Drive the Nordic real estate portfolio strategy, including footprint optimization, renovations, and transformation projects to create inspiring and productive work environments.
- Champion EHS: Setting a high bar for environment and sustainability initiatives as well as health and safety standards. Foster a proactive safety culture across all sites and lead environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste in line with our ambitious goals.
- Drive Operational & Financial Excellence: Manage significant Capex and Opex budgets with strong financial discipline, lead strategic procurement, and oversee key vendor partnerships to ensure a strong return on investment.
- Team management: This will be done in close collaboration with your team, consisting of 3 direct reports and 4 dotted line employees across our Nordic sites. Furthermore you will oversee our external providers of facility services.
We Are Looking For
We are seeking a seasoned and influential leader with a proven track record of driving transformation across multiple countries. You are a great match for this role if you have:
- A degree in Engineering, EHS, Facilities Management, or a related field, combined with leadership experience in a multi-site EHS, Real Estate, or Operations environment.
- Strategic & Business Acumen: You are a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and the ability to operate at an executive level, translating business needs into actionable strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: You excel at influencing senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder ecosystems, including Group-level teams and external partners.
- Regulatory Expertise: You possess strong knowledge of Nordic regulatory frameworks related to health & safety, environment, and workplace compliance.
- Change Leadership: You are a data-driven decision-maker with a proven ability to lead cultural transformation in safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
