Who We Are

In Settimo Torinese, Italy, is active one of the main production centers of L’Oréal Group in the world. The plant's products are distributed in 30 countries. The production site is a full expression of the industrial, social and environmental values of the Group: quality, the result of innovation and control in production, safety of the working environments, minimal impact on the environment. Between 2005 e il 2020 in terms of enviromental management, outstanding results have been reached. The site is in fact carbon neutral since 2015 and since 2018 is also a waterloop factory, that is a production site which consumes water solely as a raw material for products and not for other uses.

We Are Looking For

The Production Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing production processes, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Acting as a key connector between different departments, he/she drives operational excellence and fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the production environment. The role requires a proactive professional capable of analyzing complex data to improve department indicators, managing production planning follow-ups, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common plant goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with Performance, Quality and Safety Departments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations and procedures and promoting a safe working environment

  • Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the continuous improvement projects in the production department

  • Analysis of department indicators, such as production progress, waste, quality, and safety indicators

  • Follow up and support production planning management

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality control, maintenance, and engineering, to achieve common goals

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to the production

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) is required

  • Previous experience as a Production Engineer in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies

  • Proficiency in software applications and data analyst programs

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian language and good knowledge of English; French is a plus
