This project manager role ensures that L'Oreal China's strategic topics are well enriched with consumer insights. Through this role, we maximize the potential and value of our brands through using consumer insight as the foundation. The job holder will be a key strategic partner providing consumer insight in China to drive company strategic topics' implementation and sustainable growth.

  • Drive Strategic Projects: You will manage complex consumer research projects from end-to-end. This includes handling ongoing studies (e.g., ad tracking, brand health tracking) and designing and executing ad-hoc projects of various scales on topics such as target audience activation, channel deep dives, and consumer sentiment tracking.
  • Deliver Actionable Insights: You will skillfully use tools like Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for clear, high-quality visual storytelling, transforming complex quantitative and qualitative data into impactful insights that guide business decisions.
  • Collaborate and Influence: You will work closely with a wide range of partners, including category CMI, local and global brand teams, and international insight teams, to deeply understand business questions, develop research plans, manage budgets, and drive strategic alignment and implementation.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Utilize data analytic and visualization skill to deliver project insights in high quality standard.

  • Responsible for manage and deliver consumer studies of high complexity including not limited to TA activation, channel deep dive, consumer sentiment tracking etc.

  • Work closely together with category CMI, local brand team, DMI/DMI hub, global DMI, global insight team to understand business questions, draw up research plan, budget management, etc.

We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced CMI professional with a strong research foundation, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the beauty or FMCG industry. We particularly value candidates who are down-to-earth, resilient, and team-oriented. To succeed in this role, you should have:-Extensive Experience: A rich background in consumer market insight and research (from a research agency or in-house CMI team,5-8 years) with a demonstrated stable career progression.

  • Mastery of Research & Project Management: A solid quantitative research background is a MUST, with proven experience independently managing large-scale tracking and ad-hoc quantitative projects (Brand health tracking, U&A etc). Practical experience with qualitative methods (e.g., Focus Group Discussions, In-Depth Interviews) is also required.Solid quantitative experience is a plus.
  • Excellent Data Analysis & Presentation Skills: Proficiency in Excel for data processing and analysis, coupled with a talent for using PowerPoint to create logical, highlight-focused, and visually compelling presentations.
  • Strong Collaboration & Communication Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to build trust, communicate effectively, and drive consensus within a complex, cross-departmental environment. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
  • Professional Attributes: You are detail-oriented, responsible, and a trustworthy team player. When facing challenges, you demonstrate strong resilience and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
