Job Title: Sustainability Manager, Corporate Affairs & Engagement

L’Oréal has a strong vision for environmental and social sustainability. Under the L’Oréal for the Future program, we are committed to transforming our business to respect the planetary boundaries and to supporting urgent social and environmental needs. To make this a reality, we have activated a L’Oréal for the Future committee in each market.

In Korea, the Sustainability Manager, reporting to the Sustainability Director of the country, will be responsible for driving L’Oréal for the Future initiatives in Korea, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders for implementation of long-term sustainability goals, and developing a compelling narrative on L’Oréal Korea’s sustainability journey.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive new and existing L’Oréal for the Future initiatives in Korea in alignment with the global sustainability goals and strategic framework
  • Lead the activation of the L’Oréal for the Future committee in Korea
  • Work closely with the various internal stakeholders, including operations, EHS, purchasing, finance, HR, and the divisions, to monitor the progress and implement necessary measures for sustainability goals related to stewarding the climate transition, safeguarding nature, driving circularity and supporting communities.
  • Liaise between with HQ, zone, and local teams on L’Oréal for the Future guidelines and processes
  • Elevate L’Oréal Korea’s reputation as a beauty leader committed to sustainability through compelling storytelling and thought leadership
  • Explore new opportunities for partnership, including open innovation, on sustainability
  • Engage employees with the L’Oréal for the Future program by organizing events and programs for employees to better understand and support our sustainability vision

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Years of experience: +10 years of career experience

Experience:

  • Experience related to ESG and sustainability
  • Understanding of environmental policies on energy, plastic use, packaging, etc.
  • Strong project management skills, communication skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to influence and work with multiple stakeholders – internal & external
  • Ability to read and extract meaningful insights from sustainability KPIs and data

Other Skills:

  • Proficient with Excel, PPT, Word
  • Need to be agile, flexible and detailed oriented Language: Fluent in both Korean English (Speaking & Written)
