As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The CL Specialist is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a pallet jack or other heavy material handling equipment. The warehouse associate can be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center in Shelbyville, KY. This position is being advertised for future openings in Shelbyville, KY.

How you create impact

Verify and receive materials into inventory 

Marks and inventories packages for storage or transit 

May also include palletizing and shrink-wrap. 

Duties may include receiving, checking and storing 

May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds 

Use MHE Equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse 

Use MH Equipment to pick, verify and pack orders according to standard practice 

Works from pick sheet to pull product or supplies. 

Check orders against pull sheets. 

Maintain warehouse clean and free of debris at all times 

May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. 

What we would like you to bring

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
