Job Description
Role Purpose
Lead the design and execution of sourcing processes, value engineering, and capability development across the WEEM zone. Enable and elevate markets to lead independently within 2-3 years by standardizing best practices, closing capability gaps, and embedding a market-centric model in alignment with global strategy.
Key responsibilities

Set Strategic Direction & Govern the Sourcing Process

Define and communicate the sourcing vision, priorities, and roadmap for the WEEM zone.

Own governance, standards, and capability frameworks for sourcing across the zone.

Drive Value Engineering & DTV Excellence
-
Lead development, deployment, and governance of Value Engineering (VE) and Design-to-Value (DTV) strategy and targets.

Standardize methodologies, tools, and playbooks for VE and DTV across countries.

Identify and scale value levers, building a regional pipeline with cross-functional partners.

Capability Building & Market Enablement

Equip business units (BUs) with tools, knowledge, and frameworks to drive sourcing excellence independently.

Elevate sourcing capabilities through training, workshops, and co-piloting.
-
Facilitate best practice sharing and expert coaching across the zone.

Governance & Performance Management
-
Deploy and monitor strategic sourcing tools (e.g., should-cost models, TCO calculators, cost benchmarks).

Track, consolidate, and challenge results, ensuring consistency and rigor across countries.

Develop and implement security of supply and compliance measures in partnership with P2P Compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment

Serve as single point of contact (SPOC) for WEEM in global capability forums.

Partner with Global to deploy, customize, and drive adherence to global policies, benchmarks, and trainings.

Break silos by facilitating ideation, visibility, and adoption of global best practices.
Key Deliverables/ Success Measures
- Clear, market-centric sourcing strategy in place and communicated.
- Standardized sourcing excellence framework deployed and embedded across BUs.
- Consistent VE/DTV methodologies and tools implemented zone-wide.
- Capability gaps identified and closed; BUs able to lead sourcing independently.
- Measurable improvements in cost, compliance, and supplier performance.
- High engagement and adoption of global programs, tools, and benchmarks.
- Documented training programs, workshops, and best-practice sharing sessions.
Expected Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with significant leadership in a multinational or matrix environment.
- Proven track record in leading complex sourcing/value engineering programs at regional or global level.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance, tools, and frameworks.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across cultures and organizational layers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
- Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
