Job Description:

HPE Global IT is a dynamic organization enabling the enterprise to innovate and lead the industry with our consumption-based IT transformation and our consulting, financial, educational, and operational support services. Join us as we develop innovative solutions that revolutionize how we help customers by simplifying their operations and move the world forward.

Role summary

The Project Manager leads complex, multi‑region IT projects that impact core enterprise platforms and services. You will own outcomes end‑to‑end—translating business goals into executable plans, driving delivery across cross‑functional teams, and ensuring projects meet commitments on scope, schedule, budget, quality, security, and compliance.

We’re looking for a builder and a finisher: someone who takes ownership of the plan, the team, the risks, and the results—and who maintains high accountability for measurable outcomes in the IT domain.

What you’ll do

  • Own delivery from concept to closure for internal IT initiatives (infrastructure, platforms, applications, cybersecurity, data, and workplace technologies).
  • Drive accountability to outcomes: define success metrics, baselines, and targets; track value realization (cost, efficiency, reliability, TCE) and report progress transparently.
  • Plan and control: build integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource models; maintain rigorous change, risk, and issue management.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams (>20 resources across countries/vendors) and foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Engage senior stakeholders: synthesize complex information, present clear options and trade‑offs, and secure timely decisions.
  • Manage financials: meet/exceed approved budgets; provide reliable forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Assure IT quality & compliance: align to architecture standards, cybersecurity controls, data privacy, regulatory requirements, and PMO governance.
  • Land the change: partner with operations, support, and training to ensure successful cutover, stabilization, and sustained outcomes.
  • Close with rigor: confirm deliverables, capture lessons learned, complete financial reconciliation, and ensure knowledge transfer.

Ownership & accountability (what this means here)

  • You are the single‑point owner for project delivery: you proactively surface risks, propose mitigations, and escalate with data and options—not surprises.
  • You connect outcomes to business value: uptime, performance, user experience, security posture, and total cost are explicit and tracked.
  • You hold the team (and yourself) to commitments: when trade‑offs are needed, you drive informed decisions and document impacts.

What you need to bring

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus).

Experience: Significant track record leading complex IT projects or programs in large enterprises.

Methodologies & tools: Expert in project management methods (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid), with proficiency in portfolio/PM tools (e.g., Service Now SPM, SPIRA, Azure DevOps/Jira, Power BI).

Skills:

  • Strategic planning, integrated scheduling, and dependency management
  • Financial management (budgeting, forecasting, benefits tracking)
  • Stakeholder management up to senior/executive levels
  • Vendor/partner leadership and contract awareness
  • Risk, issue, and change control with data‑driven decision support
  • Strong written/verbal communication and executive storytelling

Certifications: Must be PMP/ PRINCE2 certified or planning to get certified in next 6 months. Agile certifications (Scrum/SAFe) will be a plus.

Success Measures

On‑time / on‑budget delivery of committed scope

Reduction in incidents / improved reliability for impacted services

Realized cost/efficiency benefits vs. business case

Stakeholder satisfaction (sponsor and user NPS/CSAT)
