Role Information

The Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of all external events and major internal events across the organisation.

This role ensures seamless execution from concept through to post-event evaluation, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact events that strengthen engagement within the technology and defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of external and major internal events, including conferences, exhibitions, stakeholder briefings, leadership forums, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with internal business stakeholder teams to define objectives, align messaging, and ensure events deliver measurable impact.
  • Incorporate the latest event technologies, marketing strategies, and industry best practices to enhance audience engagement and event effectiveness.
  • Effectively manage relationships with external vendors, venues, suppliers, and contractors to ensure quality delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee all event logistics including venue selection, travel coordination, production, branding, compliance requirements, and on-site management.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones as required.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, ideally within the aviation, defence, or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex events with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid administrative capability, including budget management and reporting.
  • Experience working within a matrix organisational structure and across international time zones.
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
  • Proficiency in event management platforms and marketing technologies.
