Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Battle Management System Delivery Lead.

MTTES provides Electronic Warfare (EW) Training Range services to the Australian Defence Force in Queensland and the Northern Territory, and other deployed locations. We operate and sustain a diverse range of EW systems and associated networks and software to deliver the required training outcomes.
This role will be managing the team that supports the networks, software, and IT infrastructure that enable the Training Range to function. You will be balancing competing priorities across a range of disciplines, taking feedback from stakeholders and system experts to ensure successful outcomes are achieved. You will apply your experience working in secure Defence environments to forecast future requirements and proactively remove impediments.
- Determines operational needs, problems, and opportunities, recommending improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
- Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition, prioritisation activities and backlog management.
- Identify and remove impediments, risks, and dependencies impacting delivery.
- Foster strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders, including vendors where required.
- Manage the tasks and priorities of a team of 10 system experts maintaining networks, software, and IT infrastructure.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Requires advanced knowledge of information systems (network architectures, non-Windows Operating Systems, software development processes).
- Broad knowledge of project management.
- Experience leading and managing cross functional teams.
- Experience managing competing projects / priorities.
- Experience dealing with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Involvement in the end-to-end delivery of a digital service or product.
- Experience working within a secure Defence environment.
- Experience producing high quality comprehensive documentation.
- Experience as a Scrum Master, using Agile project management tools (i.e. JIRA / Azure DevOps) and knowledge in managing Epics, User Stories, bugs, etc.
