Job Summary

As the Licensing and Regulatory Management Associate within our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to various regulatory bodies, primarily under labor laws. You will engage with senior internal and regulatory stakeholders, manage challenging conversations on complex compliance and regulatory issues, and lead technology initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical role in monitoring the regulatory change landscape and promoting key projects to successful closure.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring timely and zero-defect submissions to regulatory bodies
  • Facilitate timely regulatory submissions, including applications for licenses, renewals, and returns for labor laws
  • Track regulatory obligations applicable to the India entity and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage regulatory inspections, respond to regulatory notices and ensure timely closure.
  • Engage with senior internal and regulatory stakeholders, managing challenging conversations on complex compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with key regulatory authorities, demonstrating the ability to influence challenging discussions positively.
  • Exercise Risk and Control policy procedures, extending critical support to ensure adherence to Indian laws and regulations.
  • Identify, solution, and track operational risks, ensuring the strengthening of governance and controls on regulatory and licensing processes.
  • Run initiatives to ensure external vendors comply with statutory labor law requirements.
  • Manage technology upgradation initiatives, process mapping, and compliance process management with updates based on digitization and integration models, including oversight over online submissions across several regulators.
  • Front-end internal stakeholder reporting and management, achieving key objectives and managing the function's deliverables.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Law graduate / post graduate with strong understanding of Indian regulatory requirements and labor laws.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead technology initiatives and manage complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving strategic initiatives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience / Certification in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning projects
