Technical Product Manager
- Platform
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager in our platform team to drive our platform-as-a-product strategy, with a special focus on reliability, resilience, observability and developer experience initiatives. Partnering closely with engineers, you will define how our platform scales for millions of customers, design customer features and build backlogs to deliver a high-performance stack in production. By taking a platform-as-a-product approach, you will put application teams at the heart of your platform vision and build a strategy that enables global product launches. Above all, you know how to prioritise the most important features based on business value and customer needs.
This is a role for someone who thrives in the detail of platform engineering while also engaging a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business. You will own the platform value proposition, KPIs and roadmap in partnership with engineering. We’re looking for someone with a passion for infrastructure platform product management who isn’t afraid to get hands-on and be the glue between multiple teams across platform, applications, data/AI, security and operations. Ideally you will have informed opinions on platform architecture, paths to achieve scale and what makes a strong developer experience, alongside a track record of driving key activities such as quarterly planning and OKRs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, skills

Previous experience in a technical product management role with a focus on platform – this could be IaaS, PaaS, SaaS or full stack

Build and own the platform roadmap, ensuring it is aligned with the needs of product teams, end-users and the business

Expertise in key platform domains, including resilience, high availability, performance, production operations, reliability, Dev Ex, Fin Ops, security and data best practices

Gather requirements from a range of stakeholders, understand platform pain points and prioritise features to deliver the most value in accordance with business objectives

Define platform KPIs and clear backlogs of work to improve them, partnering closely with engineering teams

Balance the development of strategic features with ad-hoc business demand and support of a live platform in production

Strong stakeholder management skills across a range of technical and non-technical teams, with ability to manage expectations and influence key decisions regarding the platform

Able to drive key strategic activities including quarterly planning, OKRs, technical backlog creation and roadmapping
Preferred
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure platforms (GCP, AWS), Kubernetes and common services such as event streaming, database and observability
Experience in Fin Tech
