The Director of Data Strategy for the COS organization will partner closely with senior leaders across Finance, Technology, Strategy, and Operations to establish and implement a comprehensive data strategy framework. This high-impact role will drive the development of robust, efficient, and insightful reporting and analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The director will also lead key communications and collaboration efforts with senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making and support strong business performance Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Data Strategy Execution: Drive the implementation of a cohesive data strategy for the COS organization, ensuring alignment with business priorities and integration into operational processes.

  • Deliver Scalable Data Solutions: Establish product design discipline to develop scalable, analytics-driven data products that support organizational objectives.

  • Manage Complex Reporting: Oversee a high-volume, complex reporting portfolio with strong project management and effective controls.

  • Strategically Lead Leadership: Provide thought leadership and direction, shaping business decisions and enhancing client and employee experiences.

  • Engage Stakeholders : Lead cross-functional analytical initiatives, facilitate senior leader discussions, and manage key stakeholder relationships.

  • Operate with Excellence: Develop deep expertise in COS systems and processes to extract actionable insights and identify opportunities for transformation.

  • Innovate for Growth: Identify new opportunities to expand the business pipeline and evaluate emerging tools and technologies for strategic adoption.

  • Develop Talent: Build and retain a high-performing team, fostering open communication and fair performance management.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline; 10+ years of experience in the Data Analytics field.

  • Ability to serve as a strategic business partner and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong time management skills and experience with project management tools.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Cassandra, AWS).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products such as PowerPoint, Excel and Visio

  • Experience managing a team and developing talent.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience at a consulting firm.

  • Deep understanding of the financial services or retail banking industry.

  • MBA or other Master's degree.
