Join our team as a Trade Lifecycle Associate and play a key role in managing the post-trading life cycle for a global leader in financial services. Be at the forefront of operational excellence, process improvement, and automation, while developing your data and technology skills in a dynamic environment.

As a Trade Lifecycle Associate in our post-trading operations team, you will supervise and support the day-to-day operations of the post-trading life cycle, focusing on cash movements and manual payment processing. You will ensure operational procedures are followed, tasks are completed accurately and on time, and service quality is maintained. You will collaborate with business partners, participate in process re-engineering, and contribute to global and local projects to drive efficiency and control.

Job responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily business deliverables, including manual payments processing and post-trade operations.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Provide first-level supervision and guidance to staff during business hours.
  • Support the process Vice President in delivering top-quality operations for the global business.
  • Document procedures and update documentation periodically.
  • Identify requirements for additional controls and implement improvements.
  • Investigate and escalate issues as they arise.
  • Provide daily and weekly operational statistics and reporting.
  • Participate in global and local projects, including new business, system enhancements, and market rule changes.
  • Drive process re-engineering initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Perform root cause analysis to increase Straight Through Processing (STP) and reduce client inquiries.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum six years of experience in banking, financial services, treasury, or a related function.
  • Familiarity with financial products and services.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coach and guide team members on necessary processes.
  • Strong control and audit mindset, with a solid understanding of industry policies and regulations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and time management skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • S99 License is an advantage.
  • Experience in payment processing, including SWIFT messages, is preferred.
  • Prior experience in custody, treasury operations, or markets operations.
  • Understanding of SWIFT, ISO2022 MX messages, and cross-border payments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and demonstrate strong leadership, risk mitigation, and a proactive approach to achieving best-in-class results.
