The NA High Yield Credit Trading business is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank’s Global Credit Trading platform. The business trades High Yield corporate credit. Our client base includes the top asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies.

Job Summary

The North America Credit Trading franchise is a leading market maker in corporate bonds. You will work collectively alongside traders, salespeople, and desk analysts to generate ideas and make secondary markets in high yield bonds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Credit analysis on both a single-name and thematic approach basis

  • Manage risk – on both single-name and broader book basis and identify compelling trade opportunities

  • Providing real-time analysis of relevant news flow on a company and industry basis

  • Interacting with the global sales force, client base, publishing research team, broader desk analyst team and Leverage Finance Syndicate and Bankers

  • Operate well under pressure, be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant, sell-side credit trading experience in High Yield/distressed credit

  • Candidates are required to hold professional licenses. Series 7 and series 63.

  • Candidates are required to have in depth credit trading and market knowledge, fundamental credit and sector knowledge, credit pricing and risk management experience, mentorship experience and track record in training employees and improving the overall business performance.

  • Experience and proven track record in trading and risk managing that reflects consistent profit generation in High Yield Credit

  • Strong communication skills with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal updates to colleagues, clients and senior executives

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Trading desk / investing experience

  • Credit analysis experience across a broad subset of industries

  • Enhanced product knowledge of other credit products (Loans, CLOs, Indices, Options) and other asset classes (Equities, Commodities, Macro)
