Be a member of a dynamic team where individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds unite to achieve common goals through excellence and creativity—and lead from the front.
As a Vice President in the Prime Brokerage Cash & Controls team, you will lead and influence a high-performing function that provides services to hedge funds and professional investors, enabling them to finance their investment activities through a bespoke range of products. Our Prime Brokerage offering includes Global Custody, Securities Lending, Financing, and Margin Solutions. You will set the standard for control excellence and client-first delivery across cash wire processing, payments processing, and controls around equity and fixed income trading activity. You will also coach talent, drive automation and Straight-Through Processing (STP), and champion a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Cash & Controls function, modelling high standards of ownership and delivery.
- Coach, mentor, and develop talent through clarity of goals and the fostering of a feedback-rich, inclusive culture.
- Drive team capacity planning and prioritization.
- Own payment controls and adherence to standards by setting clear guardrails and escalating issues with urgency and transparency.
- Review and apply incoming cash wires for institutional and retail clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and control compliance; permanently remediate issues to reduce non-STP recurrence.
- Perform, design, and implement key controls across the trade lifecycle; challenge the status quo to strengthen first-line control design.
- Liaise with global partners and stakeholders to resolve and mitigate reconciliation issues across the Prime Brokerage product set.
- Represent the function in governance forums and communicate complex issues succinctly to senior management and clients.
- Build trusted and lasting relationships with Technology, Operations, Product, Legal, and Risk to accelerate outcomes and manage dependencies.
- Lead change execution (requirements, testing, rollout, adoption) with disciplined program management.
- Prepare and analyse metrics that surface risk, capacity, and performance trends in order to convert insights into action.
