As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst within the Chase Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) PXT organizations, you will contribute to a product-agile financial model, providing valuable insights for CCB Technology. You will own end-to-end financial processes and reporting, including month-end close, actuals, budgets/forecasts, headcount, and multi-view reporting. Your role involves performing technology expense analytics, executing deep dives across applications, investments, overhead, and corporate to explain promoters and trends. You will manage budgeting and chargebacks for HL & Auto Tech app/investment portfolios, identifying beneficiary groups and refining allocation methodologies. Analyzing GTI spend by applying rate-by-volume logic to end-user consumables, you will isolate usage versus price impacts. You will track infrastructure variances by analyzing GTI app infrastructure using MARS/Keystone data and run monthly iCTO connects to address variance promoters. Enhancing forecast accuracy and monitoring technology allocations, you will implement improvements to reduce volatility. You will lead cost-optimization initiatives for Home Lending and Auto, including product cost tracking and app decommissioning. Building executive-ready communications and decks, you will articulate the financial story and strategy for F&BM and technology leadership. Additionally, you will ensure governance, quality, and compliance by maintaining data integrity and adhering to internal reporting requirements.
Job Responsibilities :
- Own end‑to‑end financial processes and reporting, including month‑end close, actuals, budgets/forecasts, headcount, and multi‑view reporting (GL, program, taxonomy, product, app, allocations, business cases).
- Perform technology expense analytics, executing deep dives across applications, investments, overhead, and corporate to explain drivers and trends.
- Manage budgeting and chargebacks for HL & Auto Tech app/investment portfolios via billing keys; identify beneficiary groups and refine allocation methodologies.
- Analyze GTI spend by applying rate‑by‑volume logic to end‑user consumables, isolating usage versus price impacts.
- Track infrastructure variances by analyzing GTI app infrastructure using MARS/Keystone data; run monthly iCTO connects to identify and address variance drivers.
- Enhance forecast accuracy and monitor technology allocations across contributing groups, implementing improvements to reduce volatility.
- Lead cost‑optimization initiatives for Home Lending and Auto, including product cost tracking, driver identification, app decommissioning, and billing‑key updates.
- Build executive‑ready communications and decks that articulate the financial story and strategy for F&BM and technology leadership (CIO/CFO/CEO).
- Ensure governance, quality, and compliance by maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness, and adhering to internal reporting requirements.
- Partner across JPMorgan Chase to develop dynamic reporting; leverage Tableau/Alteryx; share best practices; and automate and streamline processes for continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree required – degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Experience in planning and analysis/ financial management / accounting environment with previous experience supporting Technology organizations
- In-depth knowledge of Excel & Power
Point and knowledge of Essbase and SAP:
- Experience partnering in either a Finance and/or Business Management capacity and providing insights/recommendations to senior management
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner that tells the story behind financials in a compelling way
- Confident and personable attitude with the ability to face off with senior management at all levels, influence/handle difficult messages, problem solve, and resolve conflicts
- Detail oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
- Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and handle competing priorities under pressure
- Self-motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau preferred
- Ability to work with large data sets and perform data mining using analytical tools (some experience of SQL etc. would be helpful)
- Timing – 2:00pm to 11:00pm (may change for budget periods, adhocs and projects)
