Job Summary

As an Investor in the J.P.Morgan Private Bank, you are responsible for helping the Banker win new clients and deepen and strengthen existing client relationships through advisement on investment solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Be the lead Investor on a portfolio of key client relationships for the Hong Kong business, and act as primary resource for investment communication
• Conduct investment reviews with clients to validate the clients’ current investment objectives and prepare recommendations of appropriate investment products
• Understand & effectively communicate the bank views and solutions to clients to help them meet their financial objectives
• Develop relationships with immediate team members (Investors & Bankers) and work as a team to ensure that the business meets its goals
• Actively involved with team members in deepening existing relationships and on-boarding new client relationships
• Maintain investment dialogue with clients on understanding goals and objectives, developing and implementing overall investment plan
• Provide advice and investment solutions according to relevant legal and compliance requirements
• Work in close partnership with Private Bankers in providing investment expertise to existing and prospective clients, as well as in identifying new business opportunities
• Adhere to the Bank’s policies and procedures thereby protecting the business from financial and reputational risks
• Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures regarding securities transactions and code of conduct
• Supervise, coach, and train junior staff to maximize their individual contribution to the team as required

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline
• Minimum12 years of professional experience in a similar investment advisory capacity at another Private Bank or wealth management firm, covering the Hong Kong market.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Able to work under minimal supervision; adaptable to work in fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and results-focused
• Sound knowledge of the financial industry, knowledge in Hong Kong markets is a plus
• Strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
• Understand and have working knowledge of the private banking key regulatory and control environments that are relevant to the team and be able to advice clients accordingly.
