**Loan Origination Manager - Associate role,**provides global end-to-end loan origination, servicing, restructuring and trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of the client and lines of business, ranging from bilateral to large syndicated loan agreements. Services provided include Loan Origination; Documentation Review; Deal Closing & Funding; Core Loan Servicing; Loan Closing & Trade Settlement.
Job Summary:
- As an Loan Origination Manager
- Associatewithin the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Debt Capital Markets (DCM - consisting of Leveraged Finance (LF) and Investment Grade (IG) Transactions), and Credit Risk for all syndicated deal originations and transactions to ensure new loan agreements and amendments are operationally viable, recorded accurately, and any exceptions are managed accordingly - continuously operating within a controls-focused environment, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle.
You will collaborate with global partners and stakeholders, influence key outcomes, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape the future of lending services, develop talent, and make a significant impact on the organization.
Job responsibilities
- Support the Deal Closing of syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the loan lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including credit, operations and trading teams, to resolve inquiries and facilitate seamless deal build.
- Review and interpret loan documentation, applying attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure operational feasibility and risk mitigation.
- Participate in team projects and initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a strong controls environment, adhering to established procedures and policies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Contribute to a culture of excellent client service, supporting programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, supporting the development and engagement of colleagues.
- Review Loan Market Association (LMA) standard documents and other legal documents including New , Amendment and Reinstatement, assignment agreements, and related agreements
- Construct bilateral and syndicated deal structures in loan platform (LoanIQ) including amending existing deal structures in line with Executed Loan Credit Agreement
- Ensure that Credit and Operations systems are enriched with deal details, to a high degree of accuracy at all times
- Monitor recently signed deals for early-stage lifecycle events and action accordingly
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years Experience in financial services, banking operations, or lending services, with a developing understanding of loan products and transaction management.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex documentation and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and develop, with a focus on building foundational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in time management, organization, and prioritization, working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated control mindset and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in syndicated lending, loan servicing, or transaction execution within a financial institution.
- Familiarity with trade settlement processes, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
- Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions.
- Strong data and technology literacy, with the ability to analyze data and implement innovative solutions.
- Interest in participating in process automation, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
- Direct working knowledge of LoanIQ advantageous (specifically in the area of loan administration and deal building)
