As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in this initiative, dedicated to delivering an outstanding banking experience to our customers. You will work in a collaborative environment as part of a diverse, inclusive, and geographically distributed team. We are seeking individuals with a curious mindset and a keen interest in new technology. Our engineers are naturally solution-oriented and possess an interest in the financial sector and focus on addressing our customer needs. We work in teams focused on specific products and projects, providing opportunities to engage in areas such as fraud & financial crime prevention, identity services, money transfers, card payments, lending, customer onboarding, core banking, insurance products, rewards campaigns, and servicing innovations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Advise cross-functional teams on data architecture solutions to achieve the target state architecture and improve current technologies.
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, vendors and the data office to ensure that solutions meet all data controls requirements.
  • Define and set data architecture standards for the organization with a focus on building tooling to automate the execution of those standard.
  • Represent International Consumer banking in relevant firmwide committees to help drive the broader data architecture evolution.
  • Create durable, reusable data frameworks using new technology to meet the needs of the business.
  • Champion the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expert in one or more architecture disciplines and programming languages, preferably java or Python.
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, best practices, and industry trends
  • Influencer with a proven record of successfully driving change and transforming across organizational boundaries
  • Knowledge/Expertise in AI and associated tools (agentic for example).
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
