Role Summary

Assist engineers with various R&D job functions within active projects for Ethicon Biosurgery.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• Attend team meetings as necessary
• Perform necessary mechanical and laboratory testing, and post-testing analysis
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• Assist in assembly of prototype devices
• Create/Update parts, assemblies and drawings in CAD (Solid Works)
• Write reports, test methods, protocols and other design control documentation
• Complete engineering activities for multiple projects
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
• Performs other duties assigned as needed

Experience and Education

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university at time of co-op.
• Majors in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering
• Generally Requires 0-2 Years Work Experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills preferred, but not required.
• Previous laboratory skills preferred, but not required.
• No certifications/licenses required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$23.00/hr to $51.50/hr

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
