Job Description:

Position summary:

You will find yourself working alongside senior procurement professionals who aim to collectively ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services for EMEA commercial affiliates. You will be involved in procurement activities, while also carrying reporting and analytical responsibilities for procurement data in your area. As an internship program participant, your role will be part of our process-based organization spanning various procurement functions, including supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost analysis.

When you join Johnson & Johnson as a Procurement Intern, you will embark on an industrial placement year that gives you a high level of exposure to strategic sourcing and places you at the very heart of our business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Learning and applying procurement standards and corporate policies related to supplier management and accounts payable.

  • Ensuring that validation checks are in place and that procurement processes comply with J&J’s internal controls and policies.

  • Preparing reconciliations of accounts payable, remediating discrepancies, and properly escalating issues to mitigate financial risks.

  • Collaborating with other Global Service Teams, whether in Prague or other global hubs, to resolve ad hoc issues or support efforts for process standardization in procurement.

  • Contributing to the identification, design, and implementation of process efficiencies through the automation of repetitive tasks within accounts payable.

  • Advancing your own proficiency in digital tools and sharing this expertise with colleagues and peers

Requirements of the role:

  • 2 years of degree level study completed

  • Accounting and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences and Business-related degree types preferred
