Job Description:

De Puy Synthes is recruiting for a Director, Warehouse & Distribution Systems. This Hybrid position will be located in Raynham, MA (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered in Raritan, NJ (USA), West Chester, PA (USA) OR Palm Beach Gardens, FL (USA).

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as De Puy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of De Puy Synthes and your employment would be governed by De Puy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by De Puy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview:

The Director, Warehouse & Distribution Systems provides strategic leadership for warehouse and distribution systems that support De Puy Synthes’ supply chain and customer fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for setting direction, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost‑effective distribution capabilities. The position has broad impact across service levels, operational efficiency, and system scalability, playing a critical role in enabling business growth and continuous improvement across the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, design, and governance of warehouse and distribution systems supporting domestic and global operations.

  • Oversee system performance, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, IT, Quality, and external vendors to ensure systems meet business, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

  • Drive implementation and optimization of warehouse management and distribution technologies, including upgrades and system integrations.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs, service metrics, and operational controls to ensure consistent, high‑quality performance.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for managers and technical teams within warehouse and distribution systems.

  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards across all supported distribution environments.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, distribution systems, or supply chain systems leadership.

  • Proven experience leading large‑scale warehouse or distribution system initiatives in a regulated or complex operating environment.

  • Strong leadership experience managing managers and cross‑functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive system optimization, process improvement, and performance management.

  • Experience partnering with IT and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing and distribution environments.

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), distribution automation, and supply chain technologies.

  • Experience leading global or multi‑site distribution system operations.

  • Change management experience supporting large transformation initiatives.

Other:

  • Language requirements: English proficiency required.

  • Travel: Up to 20%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel.

  • Certifications: Supply chain, logistics, or project management certifications preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
