Job Description:

• SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY

• Be in charge of RFI, RFQ, Supplier Selection/Development/Qualification, Commercial discussion and agreements, control of raw material cost, Supplier change management, and overall supplier relationship in APAC Strategic Sourcing.

• Be responsible for supporting new project/product needs. Be knowledgeable and experienced in Metals/Plastics/Packaging technology/operation and design. Familiar to the technology and manufacturing processing of direct material category (metals, plastics, packaging, etc.). Particularly, be knowledgeable of the operations and supply chain of Feedstock, Forging and Machining, capable to work with 2nd tier supplier as needed.

• Support the Manufacturing Org of J&J APAC Med Tech network as needed. The needs are around the supply of raw materials for Manufacturing of Med Tech products.

• Be responsible for Suppliers as Supplier Relationship Manager, and all supplier management related activities like adding new supplier, Performance Review, Quality Score, Supplier Change Request and ASL maintenance, contract management, price negotiation, etc.

• Be responsible for Cost Improvement Projects with new/existing suppliers and achieve annual target on CIP.

• Be responsible to support Supplier Quality’s Supplier Assessment activities as a qualified Auditor by JNJ. Familiar to ISO13485 requirements, be knowledgeable of APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA, Six Sigma, 5S’ and Lean Practice. Be capable to lead Supplier Development related tasks.

• Be responsible for conducting Market Intelligence of supply sources under the direction of the Manager of Strategic Sourcing. Be able to present and drive new opportunities of BCC Sourcing.

• Be responsible for all communications as commercial contact window with raw material external suppliers by professional approach.

• Be responsible for receipt of Suppliers’ visits and arrange visits to Suppliers under the direction of the Manager of Strategic Sourcing.

• Be responsible for tasks needed in Ariba/Aravo/ADAPTIV/SAP systems to support all Procurement needs.

• Be responsible for following all procedures of APAC Sourcing with flawless compliance, while complying with all company policies.

• SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• 50% - APAC Sourcing support for global and regional Med Tech business

• 10% - R&D new product/project support.

• 40% - APAC Base Business Supplier related support, mainly Supplier Relationship Manager’s sustaining tasks.

• R&D project delivery: on-time, low cost and good quality. No NC or CAPA or recall, total compliance.

• All commercial agreements/contracts meet compliance and JNJ requirements.

• CIP: Cost Improvement Program with suppliers assigned, achieve annual target as assigned.

• Supplier related tasks on-time closure: ASL, ACR, SCR, Business Review, Supplier Management, Committee, etc.

• Lead cross-functional teams or projects with purpose and strong leadership, Deliver business results as committed, Business Savvy, Customer Oriented, and Professional but with team-work spirit.

• Lead Projects as a role model to other Sourcing Specialists in the overall team

• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

• Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

• SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Must have University Degree

• Nice to have Post Graduate Technical Degree

• Training for Procurement knowledge and skills, Negotiation Skills, Project Management is preferred

• Must have Excellent English Speaker/Writer

• Must have 7 – 10 years of experience, Nice to have 10 – 15 years of experience. Type of Experience: Procurement/Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D/QA, Finance – the individual should have good general business knowledge and specific knowledge of procurement. The holder of this role must have had previous Procurement/Sourcing experience. Individual must have STRONG leadership personality and capability with excellent communication skills. Good at solving conflicts with different interests and priorities. Preference given to a candidate of Chinese nationality.
