Job Duties / Job Description

• Review project inputs and specifications; capture project scope and understand overall requirements.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, SOPs, and identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
• Prepare and participate in project kick-off; review meetings with technical queries, compliance/deviations logs, risk logs, and record minutes of meetings.
• Adhere to standard estimation processes and guidelines to select proper combinations of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for optimal budgeting.
• Create a bill of materials for sensors, control valves, dampers, air flow stations, controllers, etc.
• Prepare Building Automation System network architecture.
• Ensure quality assurance, effective deliverables, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure timesheet compliance and review self-performance.

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge / Skills:

• Knowledge of HVAC systems including chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumping systems, hot water systems, and various types of AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems.
• Strong knowledge of BMS architecture operator workstations, supervisory controllers, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators
• Understanding basic networking concepts, active & passive components selection.
• Basic Understanding of Server redundancy, Power redundancy, Network Redundancy concepts.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity requirements and best practices.
• Knowledge of network protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC, MQTT, SNMP and others.
• Knowledge of Energy & Power Monitoring systems and selection.
• Proficiency in wiring of starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and panels.
• Experience in engineering, installation, and commissioning HVAC & BMS systems.
• Experience in automation (PLC programming/SCADA).
• Hands on experience in Visio/AutoCAD

• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Education:

• BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Building Automation Industry, BMS Design Engineering.
