Job Description About the Role:Support the product development team in identifying new product opportunities, assisting in the design of new products and guiding proposals through internal & external approval and governance processes leading to execution and launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support ideation and design of new products. Vet commercial viability and prioritisation of proposals, which may include analysing market landscape/competitor product shelves, reviewing index and fund compositions, conducting performance comparisons (including competitor products and indices), and reviewing product P&L.

  • Identify and produce the quantitative analyses necessary to ensure new products are rigorously tested against a wide range of potential client considerations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. product strategists, portfolio managers, operations) to ensure optimal benchmark/strategy design and product structure

  • Assist in the drafting of offering documents and preparation of product due diligence reports, business cases and internal governance related documents to support new launches through of internal (relevant committees and senior management) and external (e.g. fund board) product approvals.

  • Identify and lead initiatives, including building tools and automating tasks, to continuously improve the product development process to ensure it is streamlined, effective, and incorporates the best ideas from multiple verticals.

  • Run reporting to monitor market trends, flows and new product development in the market.

  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (such index providers) to optimize workflow.

  • Support the creation of marketing and promotional materials for new product launches, including preparation of underlying analyses.

  • Serve as the center of knowledge for internal stakeholders on the ETF platform, specifically for the APAC sales team.

  • Support senior product leaders in the development of annual strategic plans.

What we are looking for:

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative subject field.

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services/asset management, specifically in ETF product development. Strong understanding of financial instruments, markets & index methodology concepts.

  • Strong knowledge of global ETF structures and regulatory regimes.

  • Solid technical / computer skills (esp. Excel) and experience programming (Python, SQL, VBA). Knowledge of Bloomberg required.

  • Additional qualifications (e.g. CFA) highly valued

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken, fluency in Mandarin preferred.

  • Highly motivated self-starter. Sufficient professional maturity to take on ownership for the front-to-back development of a product, and the self-awareness and clarity of understanding to know when additional guidance is required.

  • Strong project management discipline. Good time management and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • A clear analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem-solving capability.
