The AI Acceleration team for Quick Books delivers digital expertise and assistance to Small Businesses through the use of Generative AI technologies to help businesses succeed. We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to imagine, create, and test new Generative AI concepts and interaction models that can solve small business problems. We are looking for design hackers, pragmatists, and unconventional thinkers to bridge the gap between conceptual design, emerging technologies and platform capabilities. You should be a maker and not afraid to take on complex challenges that lead to paradigm shifting ideas. You thrive in ambiguity and are a creative systems thinker. You’ll be part of a design team dedicated to proving and creating game changing user experiences that will help power prosperity for our customers.
Responsibilities

Drives and delivers design strategies, frameworks, principles, and designs on a broad range of projects to accelerate large initiatives and align stakeholders across different teams and business units

Works on scalable platform solutions with velocity and rigor by leveraging and contributing to our Intuit design system and innovating using new and existing tech capabilities

Leads delivery of high-level frameworks for understanding the problem space, detailed design specs for E2E initiatives, and ideal state prototypes

Bring a bold vision and design strategy to life across multiple areas in the ecosystem. Can connect the dots across multiple strategies and initiatives to make the largest impact

Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms

Operate with autonomy and drive design in partnership with many stakeholders across Design, Development, Product Management, Data/Analytics, Service Design

Masterful storyteller, able to influence a broad audience by visualizing ideas and concepts for internal leaders, partners and customers

Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you

Drives cross-platform designs to ensure best-in-class customer experiences no matter the platform, with a strong focus on mobile-first approaches

Serve as a lighthouse example for understanding, identifying, and executing high-impact growth design work, setting a gold standard for design practices across the Product organization

Provide mentorship and thought leadership within the team, cultivating a culture of high velocity, a bias for action, experimentation, and shared learnings

Leverage customer insights and data to inform design decisions, ensuring solutions are deeply rooted in customer empathy and address real user needs

Demonstrated ability to design and implement intuitive and engaging user experiences specifically for mobile applications (iOS and Android)

Experience adapting complex features and workflows for smaller mobile screens and touch-based interactions
Qualifications

8+ years of product design experience with strong visual and interaction skills, including significant experience in mobile app design

Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research, with a proven track record in mobile product development

Deep knowledge of user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing skills and design principles

Proven track record in setting a vision for great customer experiences, inspiring others to get behind the vision, and ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use

Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams/groups/functions through facilitative leadership to deliver great results and to 'raise the bar' continually as an effective leader of positive change

Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner

A passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Bay Area California: $179,500 - $243,000
Southern California: $173,000 - $234,000
