About the role

Job Description:

This position will assist the Manufacturing Engineering team in all IE&A locations with the maintenance tasks listed below.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in design, line layout and movement, fabrication, installation of specialized tools, industrial equipment, and material handling devices used for manufacturing.
  • Assist Employee Involvement teams with workstation design, fabrication, and implementation of manufacturing processes and improvements with an emphasis on ergonomics.
  • Will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Assist manufacturing engineers with audits, design, start-up and application of equipment, tools and facilities PM program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be familiar with the operation and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools and equipment
  • Previous weld, lift truck, and high lift applications experience required
  • Must have plumbing and air system experience
  • Must be mechanically inclined with experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings required
  • Able to work and communicate with vendors/suppliers and co-workers
  • Lockout/tagout certification is a plus
  • Must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-starter and be able to work effectively with little supervision
  • Proficiency in MVP is preferred
  • Proven project management and facility skills are required
  • Ability to set-up torque tools, and troubleshoot Smart tooling is preferred
  • Red Tag and Hot Work Permit use is preferred
  • 3D design and printing, as well as Solid Works and AutoCAD experience is preferred
