Job Title: Senior Advanced Project Engineer
As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead the development of innovative RF Radar technologies and Space communication systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving projects that enhance our capabilities and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Edinburgh, UK location on an office-based work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the advancement of aerospace technologies, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your leadership will guide cross-functional teams in the successful execution of complex engineering projects, shaping the future of communication and radar systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of RF Radar technologies and Space communication systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer requirements.

Manage and coordinate development programs, overseeing all phases from conception through to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering innovation and collaboration to solve complex engineering challenges.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
-
Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to capture and manage system requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and drive corrective actions to ensure systems meet performance and quality standards.

Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
You Must Have
-
6+ years of experience in advanced project engineering, ideally in RF and communication systems.
-
Strong knowledge of RF design principles and radar technology.
-
Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools relevant to RF systems.

Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
-
Experience using MS Project, SAP, Teamcenter would be a plus
We Value

Engineering Bachelor's degree or a related field.

Experience in leading complex engineering projects in aerospace or defence sectors.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
