About Helion

We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors Soft Bank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). What You Will Be Doing:

You will build and modify hardware prototypes in a machine shop environment. Using your hands-on skills, you’ll support science, engineering, and R&D projects, assist others in the use of shop tools, and help maintain a safe, organized, and productive workspace. You will report to one of our Production Managers and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.

You Will:

• Perform basic machining tasks to fabricate or modify parts

• Accept new projects and complete them promptly and accurately

• Follow company safety procedures while performing all work

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

• Keep tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition

Required Skills:

• Experience operating a horizontal band saw, TRAK-style conversational mill, manual lathe

• Proficiency with accurate drilling and tapping techniques

• Experience working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, fiberglass, and plastic

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

• At least 1 year of experience following detailed procedures with high accuracy

• Comfortable working independently and collaborating as part of a team
