Please only apply if you are able to live and work full-time in one of the states listed above. State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.
If you are an Internal Candidate, please apply via our Internal Job Board.
To thrive as a company and meet our impact goals, we must cultivate a culture of high-performance. We know managers are often the single-largest driver of employee satisfaction and growth, and our talent is our biggest asset. Because of that, we’ve identified consistent expectations for all of Guild’s people managers — helping you know what to expect from your experience here.
Senior Product Manager, Benefit Administration
1.
The Opportunity:
Guild is investing in the systems that power how we deliver benefits to millions of working adults—and we need a Senior Product Manager to own and advance this critical capability. You'll lead the benefit determination lifecycle, starting with eligibility and expanding into claims management, ensuring Guild can deliver accurate, efficient, and scalable benefit experiences for our employer partners and their employees. In the near term, you'll strengthen and optimize existing eligibility and claims workflows. In parallel, you'll shape the longer-term vision to modernize this lifecycle—reducing complexity, improving accuracy, and building the foundation for Guild's continued growth. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer experience.
This role is remote, with occasional travel to Denver (at least quarterly) and other locations as needed.
2. Here are the outcomes you will be expected to achieve:
-
Deliver accurate, efficient benefit determinations by improving eligibility and claims workflows that serve employer partners and their employees
-
Reduce operational complexity by automating, simplifying, or eliminating manual steps in eligibility verification and claims processing
-
Improve system accuracy and reliability through clear requirements, robust workflows, and sustained performance monitoring
-
Build for scale by crafting a modernization roadmap that supports Guild's growth and evolving partner needs
3. Here's what you will do in this role to achieve these outcomes:
-
Own the end-to-end benefit determination product area, including eligibility determination and claims workflows, with accountability for measurable outcomes
-
Act as product owner across the full development lifecycle—from understanding operational processes and employer policy requirements, through solution definition and delivery, to sustained production performance
-
Partner with Engineering, Partner Operations, and business stakeholders to establish a clear vision that balances near-term needs with long-term scalability
-
Translate complex eligibility rules, policy requirements, and business logic into clear system requirements and workflows
-
Map, analyze, and improve end-to-end processes across multiple systems and touchpoints
-
Identify and deliver opportunities to automate or streamline manual steps
-
Design solutions that account for real-world complexity, including edge cases, exceptions, and operational constraints
-
Define success metrics, monitor performance, and use data and operational feedback to guide iteration
4. You are probably a strong candidate for this role if you've accomplished:
-
Owned a complex, operationally intensive product area and delivered measurable improvements to accuracy, efficiency, or scale
-
Partnered closely with operations teams to understand current-state processes and designed systems that improved their workflows
-
Translated customer business requirements into product requirements that engineering could build with confidence
-
Navigated ambiguity to define a path forward when the "right answer" wasn't obvious
-
Delivered outcomes in multi-stakeholder environments where you had to balance competing priorities
5. Here are the skills/competencies you have that will be needed to achieve the expected outcomes:
-
5–8+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
-
Strong systems thinking and experience designing workflows across multiple systems and teams
-
Proven ability to partner with operations teams to understand current state and design scalable future state
-
Comfort working with data models, APIs, and enterprise integrations
-
Solid technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with engineering on tradeoffs and architecture
-
Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and frontline operators
-
Full suite of product skills—discovery, user stories, roadmap definition, and outcome measurement
6. Experience that's a plus:
-
Familiarity with benefit administration concepts (eligibility determination, enrollment, claims adjudication, plan rules, compliance)
-
Experience with HR systems, HRIS integrations, or benefits-related workflows
-
Experience building B2B or marketplace products serving multiple stakeholders with different needs
-
Experience modernizing or scaling operationally complex, regulated systems
