  • Drive operational excellence and best practices within the engineering organization, partner with leadership to identify and implement strategic initiatives that improve overall efficiency and productivity.

  • Establish and manage core operational rhythms and processes, such as resource planning and goal tracking, to ensure the Engineering organization can scale effectively and predictably.

  • Manage technical projects or programs. Work closely with Google engineers and technical staff to manage project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, develop and track sprints and milestones, and ensure smooth launches.

  • Provide clear communication across cross-functional teams to drive transparency and end-to-end coordination of plans/progress/status.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, your goal is to transform Google's smart home innovation into high-quality, seamless products by providing the technical aptitude and cross-functional leadership necessary for success.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in technical program management, project management or a related role within the software development life cycle.
