About the job
As a Partnerships Industry lead in Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) for Google Cloud, you will drive the regional Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, supporting Google’s vibrant partner ecosystem and there may be additional scope on new market opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying high-potential industry themes and supporting and building new partner capacity and capabilities required to capture them. You will leverage a unique blend of strategic planning, ecosystem development, and GTM execution. You will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders across the partner organization, sales, marketing, and product to build and scale these new routes to market, adapting your approach as customer needs and markets evolve.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with global and JAPAC partner ecosystem leaders and regional principals to define and execute the partnership strategy to drive growth across JAPAC.

Co-develop and launch joint GTM plans with key partners. Drive measurable field engagement and pipeline generation through partner-led solutions and initiatives.

Track and analyze critical success metrics for the emerging industries and partner portfolio, providing actionable insights to regional sales and partner leadership.

Conduct quarterly and monthly business reviews with the Partner team on the ecosystem's health, reporting on pipeline development, GTM initiative progress, and overall performance.

Lead collaboration with regional Partner Development Managers, Industry Solutions teams, and Sales to effectively implement, optimize, and scale partner initiatives.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
15 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or alliance management within the enterprise technology or cloud industry.

Experience in building partner ecosystems.
Preferred qualifications
-
Experience working with various partners, including Global System Integrators (GSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and specialist consulting firms.

Experience promoting cloud products.
-
Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, import/export talent and ideas to achieve broader organizational goals.

Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
-
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver a business and technical pitch to the C-Suite.
