Ensure the design, timely implementation, code correctness, and support of SQL Server, a fast-growing database engine within the Cloud SQL product family.

Work with product management to define features and create and drive roadmaps for one or more functional areas in the team.

Drive foundational initiatives to grow and improve the reliability of the service.

Participate in and manage technical debt reduction analysis and the implementation efforts.

Participate in the on-call rotations, help maintain and mentor junior engineers, and foster collaboration in a healthy team culture.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience programming in C++.

5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Experience with system design and distributed systems.

Experience in database.
