Job Summary:

We are looking for a well-rounded full-stack software engineer with experience in designing, coding, and rolling out moderately complex web applications. You will join our evolutionary Reg Tech engineering team that enables Pay Pal to operate across the globe and protects our business from money laundering or fraud activities.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
• Advises immediate management on project-level issues
• Guides junior engineers
• Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
• Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

What you need to bring to the role:

• 5+ years of professional experience programming modern web applications in JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, and HTML
• 5+ years of professional experience on on NodeJS and any web framework such as React
• Experience in system design for high traffic volume applications
• Strong understanding of developing APIs and micro-services architecture
• Strong skills in writing testable code and high-quality tests
• Experience in optimizing web applications for speed and performance, including knowledge of techniques like lazy loading and code splitting.
• Familiarity with security considerations for web applications, including knowledge of common vulnerabilities (like XSS, CSRF) and how to mitigate them
• Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in web development (like serverless architecture, Module federation) to keep the technology stack modern
• Design & Orchestrate AI-Agent Workflows: Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end workflows that integrate AI coding into the software development lifecycle, including task decomposition, prompt strategy, context management, tool invocation, and automated validation loops.
• Engineering for Reliability & Quality Control: Ability to build guardrails around AI-generated code through automated testing, static analysis, security scanning, human-in-the-loop review, and measurable evaluation frameworks (accuracy, regression risk, performance impact).
• Systems Integration & Scalability: Strong experience integrating AI agents with existing CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, issue trackers, and developer tooling, ensuring scalable, secure, and observable agent-driven development processes in production environments.
• Familiarity with developing efficient queries and designing schemas for relational databases
• Experience working in an Agile team, familiarity with Agile best practices, and ability to manage individual task deliverables
• Experience in Android and iOS development, mobile SDK development
• Familiarity with backend for frontend architecture
• Experience in developing platform level features, such as configuration management, service discovery and routing, feature switch, A/B testing, etc.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers or leading teams
• Experience in Reg Tech or Fin Tech related domains
