Information and Communications Technology Designer, Google Data Centers

Rationalize network requirements into conceptual one-lines, rack/tray layouts, and product-level designs to ensure robust telecom infrastructure.

Partner with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls, and Security teams to align telecom scope with top-level assembly and product development.

Utilize Autodesk Revit and other 3D software to develop detailed designs and provide internal/external alignment on infrastructure placement.

Review and validate construction-level drawings and specifications from external vendors to ensure compliance with program standards and best practices.
-
Provide technical engineering judgment for site-specific escalations where canonical designs require adjustments to meet local requirements.
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or Structural Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

3 years of experience in telecommunications system design or Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure within an industrial environment.
-
3 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
