Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
The Music Label Business Development Manager for South East Asia (SEA) is responsible for driving the in-market music business development strategy for YouTube. You will lead the development and execution of strategies for collaborating and licensing with commercial labels within the region, acting as the primary commercial point of contact and subject-matter expert for the SEA music market. Your responsibilities include negotiating and closing licensing agreements, ensuring oversight of payment schedules and contractual obligations, and managing partner health in collaboration with cross-functional teams like Product, Engineering, and Legal. You will build productive relationships with external partners ranging from junior to C-Level at regional headquarters and local labels, reinforcing YouTube's role as a vital partner in the evolving music ecosystem. You will identify trends using data analytics to drive business goals, prioritize new opportunities within the YouTube product roadmap, and synchronize resources for effective go-to-market execution.

Responsibilities

Lead music licensing and agreement management for YouTube across Southeast Asia. This involves establishing, negotiating, and renewing complex agreements with regional labels while overseeing payments and compliance.

Drive global strategies locally and cultivate strategic relationships with trade organizations and APAC major label headquarters.

Advocate for partners internally, using data analytics and key performance indicators to forecast growth and identify trends.

Leverage your understanding of YouTube’s product roadmap to prioritize new business opportunities. Collaboration is essential, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to synchronize go-to-market execution.

Engage executive leadership to foster sustainable, long-term partnerships, ensuring a partner-centric approach that enhances user experience and drives business expansion.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
-
Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications
-
3 years of experience in the entertainment industry with a record of initiating and successfully managing music industry relationships and business development.

Experience with strategic data analysis, public presentations, and data management.

Understanding of technological concepts, various financial models, and digital music copyrights.

Ability to interface with partners to solve critical problems through analysis and grow in a fast-paced, fluid, and highly collaborative environment.

Ability to think strategically about complex issues and then to convert insights into straightforward, timely actions.
