Job Description Job Description The Brazil Market Access team is expanding with a new and exciting opportunity for a Market Access Lead – Cell Therapy.
This position will be primarily based at the São Paulo office and will report to the Associate Director of Market Access.
The responsibilities of this role include the development and execution of pricing and access/reimbursement strategies, as well as the creation of compelling value propositions that integrate clinical and economic evidence for payers. In addition, the role will work in close alignment with cross‑functional teams at Gilead/Kite to ensure cohesive planning and delivery.
The flexibility of the organization and the evolving product portfolio of Gilead/Kite also mean that the scope of this position may further develop and broaden over time, providing additional opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
· Develop strategies for the private market and hospitals, shaping the access environment and ensuring CAR‑T reimbursement in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
· Contribute to the development and assessment of pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand and access objectives.
· Support the implementation of access strategies, understanding payer archetypes and regional needs, and tailoring approaches accordingly.
· Collaborate with the Key Account team to develop compelling value propositions and appropriate tools that enable access solutions benefiting both patients and Gilead/Kite therapies.
· Support Key Account Managers in field activities, providing guidance on access-related topics and payer engagement.
· Partner with the Medical team to identify evidence-generation needs focused on reimbursement requirements (GAP assessments, HTA needs, and alignment with country objectives).
· Ensure training on payer‑relevant materials—including product value proposition, evidence, tools, and the value story—for both the team and cross‑functional partners.
· Leverage market and account intelligence to identify, segment, profile, and define key accounts.
· Lead the preparation and submission of reimbursement dossiers required by regional-level stakeholders, hospitals, payers, and other health decision-makers.
· Support the establishment and monitoring of KPIs related to access strategies.
· Build strong working relationships with cross‑functional teams, providing strategic input for brand strategy development and ensuring cohesive execution of plans.
· Anticipate and communicate cross‑functional impacts of changes in the payer environment to enrich the brand team’s strategic planning.
· Identify opportunities and collaborate cross‑functionally to develop “win–win” partnerships with traditional and non‑traditional stakeholders that positively influence product access.
· Manage the CAR‑T Market Access budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment for proposed initiatives.
· Ensure full compliance with the Business Conduct Manual, as well as all relevant external regulations and policies applicable to this role.
Ideally, the successful applicant should have the following:

Robust and demonstrable experience in developing, implementing and delivery of market access and health economic strategies and materials

Solid understanding of Market Access processes and payer needs and strategies at national, regional and local level

Affinity and understanding of pricing dynamics that impact the Gilead Kite portfolio

Demonstrates accountability, a mindset that works through uncertainty, delivers to expectations and exhibits a sense of urgency on critical time-dependent issues

Capability to network, build strong and credible relationships with internal colleagues and payer stakeholders

Specific education and experience requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in Market Access, ideally with a proven record of gaining broader access for new medication

Excellent communications skills in Portuguese and English (oral and written) to be able to present recommendations at affiliate leadership and above

Competent experience of using Microsoft Office products is required

Previous experience in working on oncology products will be preferred
